Here at Sash + Bustle we love to make your shopping experience fun and as easy-going as possible. Even though every appointment is personalized for each bride, here is an inside scoop of what to expect when you come in for your first Introductory Bridal Appointment.

Welcome!

You’ll be welcomed into S+B with a friendly ‘hello’ and a smize! To keep everything clean, we ask that you and your guests remove their outdoor shoes, we have slippers or you can feel free to bring your own to get real comfy. We kindly ask that you sanitize your hands upon arrival and keep your masks on for the duration of the appointment.

Spill the tea

You’ll be escorted to your personal fitting room where you and your guests can grab and seat and spill those deets! This is where you will chat about your dress shopping experience and wedding vision. This is also a great time to mention specifics; like your wedding date, preferred budget, dress expectations and more!

Let’s skip to the good part

Once your stylist has an idea of what you’re looking for, it’s time for the good stuff – let’s shop ’til we drop! You’ll get a tour of the showroom and 5 clips. Your stylist will make designer and dress recommendations based on what you’re looking for and you’ll use your 5 clips to pin the dress you want to try on – think of it as real life Pinterest! Not to worry, 5 picks is just your starting point! When your stylist gets to know you more and is able to see you in dresses they will have suggestions and pull for you as well.

This is where the real fun begins

Your stylist will leave your first picks in the change-room all unzipped and ready to be stepped into. They will wait just behind the door and to adjust the fit on your go-ahead. All dresses might not fit you perfectly, but your stylist has all the tips and tricks to make it work and help you envision the look as a whole. *Tip! Being candid about how you’re feeling in each dress is super helpful for your stylist.

Maybe, Baby

Throughout the process of trying on dresses you’ll add contenders to the ‘maybe bar’ – this will help you compare and eliminate until you find the one. Revisiting your favourite(s) will help give you the chance to have that ‘Aha’ moment when you realize that you can see yourself getting married in this dress, or if gears have shifted since seeing other styles on.

The moment!!

Are you having all the feels? Don’t worry, we can tell – and that’s when we’ll pop our favourite question: “Is this your dress?” cue confetti From there we will celebrate! Snap those pics, hug it out, cry it out – whatever you need. We will then place the order for your dream dress and get the ball rolling for you. You’ll pay a 75% deposit and the rest when your dress arrives. PS this is also the perfect opportunity to book a ‘Styling Appointment’ with us so we can help you complete your look!

Need a minute?

If you need some time to mull it over or aren’t ready to say yes, your stylist will give you all the information about your top picks to go home with. The designer, style name/number, and pricing will be on your ‘Favourites Card’. Dreaming about your gown is always a great idea. If one keeps popping up in your mind it’s probably the one! Wherever you feel like you’re falling on your decision, know that we always welcome ‘Follow Up Appointments’. You can come back, try those favourites back on and rekindle a flame! Even if you walk out of S+B without a gown, we know that you will leave one step closer to finding “The One”.
