Fresh out of school for Fashion Design – Andrea begins working at Sash + Bustle as a fill-time stylist and the location on Carlaw st.

As Sash & Bustle’s sole stylist, Andrea was given the option to buy S+B when it became available. She reached out to her sister Vanessa; a business grad, with the opportunity of a lifetime. The chance to fulfill their lifelong dreams of owning a boutique in Toronto.

While Vanessa went into labour with her first-born the deal was finalized. Vanessa and Andrea were proud owners of Sash + Bustle!

Fast forward a year and a half, Vanessa and Andrea move to their dream location on Queen st e; giving them yet again, a chance to fulfill another dream – owning a boutique on Queen st.

Just over 5 years after fulfilling our lifelong dream of a Queen st boutique, we made the move to 111 Berkeley st. A stunning Victorian heritage home that would become our forever home and the ultimate realization of our dreams. A place we poured our heart and soul into, a stunning place to make bridal dreams come true!

When Vanessa and Andrea first bought S+B they were the only 2 employees. Acting as manager, stylist, receptionist etc. S+B now employs a team of 19; a store manager, marketing manager, office manager, supervisors, social media coordinator, office assistant, boutique assistants and stylists.

S+B started with approximately 7 different designers and 80 different dresses.

S+B now carries approximately 300 dresses from 22 different designers.
