At Sash + Bustle, we’re all about making your dress shopping feel joyful and relaxed. Every appointment is personalized just for you! Here’s a little peek at what you can expect during your very first Introductory Bridal Appointment with us!

Before Your Visit

In advance, you will get a call from your stylist introducing themselves and ready to hear all about you. From your wedding date, to vibes, and more to make sure your experience at S+B matches the vision for your wedding. During this time we will ask specific questions, such as your desired budget, dress style, what you hope to get from your visit, and more.

Welcome!

When you first arrive, you will be welcomed by our team. To keep our dresses clean, we will ask you and your guests to remove their outdoor shoes. We have slides you can wear or feel free to bring your own (Whatever will make you feel the most comfortable!) Outside food and drinks will asked to be left at the door, so if you stopped at a coffee shop or bakery on the way, be sure to finish your goodies before you come on in.

The Fun Part

As soon as you enter the front door, you will be in the showroom. Your stylist will guide you around the showroom, pulling dresses that match your vision, along with some wildcard options if you are feeling risky! Our showroom is organized by designer, which we have listed on our website. Don’t worry about sizing, as bridal sizing is different for each brand and is very different from shopping at a clothing store.

Time To Play Dress Up

Once you have picked out dresses you’d like to try on, you will be brought to your personal showroom with your dresses ready for you to try on! Each room has a changing room with a mirror, hooks, and a seat. Your stylist can wait on the other side for you, ready to make adjustments when you set up or join you in the fitting room and help you in there! Don’t worry if the dresses don’t fit you perfectly; your stylist has all the tips and tricks to make it work and help you envision the look as a whole. We encourage you to be honest about how you’re feeling in each dress, as it is super helpful for your stylist. Throughout the process, you will be able to try on multiple dresses and go back and retry on ones you have put on before. You can even see how the dress would look with a veil on. Trying on dresses again can help narrow down what you are looking for.

The Moment!

Are you feeling the butterflies and excitement over thoughts of getting married in the dress you are wearing? (Don’t worry, we can tell!) That means it’s time to pop our favourite question! “Are you saying yes to the dress?” From there, we will celebrate! Take tons of photos, hug, cry, whatever you need for your moment. We discuss shipping, tailoring, cost, and more for your dream dress after celebrating. We will also discuss how to pay and payment plans. psst! This is also a great time to book a “Styling Appointment” with us so we can complete your look with some final touches!

I Need A Minute

If you need some more time to think it over, you aren’t ready to say yes, or haven’t felt those butterflies yet, no worries. Your stylist will give you all of the information about your favourite dresses you tried on, such as the designer, name, and the pricing. If one of the dresses keeps popping up in your mind, that’s a sign! You can always book for a “Follow Up Appointment” with us. Even if you don’t end up with a dress from S+B, we are happy we were a small part of your journey and we know we helped you get one step closer to finding “the one.”
