“Our wedding was a midsummer dream! It was one of the warmest, sunniest summer days. The wildflowers were bursting in the fields, and it felt as though the summer would never end. We held a small wedding in Prince Edward County at 100 Acre Wood at the edge of field and forest with our closest family and friends. It all felt like a hazy dream after postponing for a year and half to have our people there for us. Pure magic!
As the original vision for the day changed with the times, I wanted a dress that made me feel dainty and beautiful, and something that was fitting for our more intimate day. I saw the Florence by Laudae on social media and knew it was the one. My partner and I went in to see it while it was visiting for a weekend trunk show and only tried it on, nothing else. Seeing the tears well up in my partner’s eyes and feeling the joy we shared in that little moment while we realized our day would finally come, I knew the dress was ours. It felt exactly me.
It had a mix of clean sophistication with whimsical soft dotted lace poet sleeves, sheer low back, and insert in the slit in the front. It was so romantic and perfect. I paired it with a scrunchie velvet headband and simple single layer waltz length raw edge veil by Blair Nadeau and linen strappy heels from Reformation in a blue and pale yellow floral print that tied like ballet slippers up my calf, and custom clay floral earrings from Ember Autumn Co. I would wear my bridal outfit every day if I could!”
