Last week the S+B team took a bite out of the Big Apple at New York Bridal Fashion Week.
We returned to NYBFW aka Bridal Market – and boy, did it feel good! Bridal Market is our opportunity to shop ’til we drop – meeting designers from every corner as they showcase their latest collections. And while there is no shortage of amazing gowns coming to S+B, there were definitely a few top trends that stood out. Take a look below and let us know what trend you’re excited to see at S+B in the near future.
Drop + Basque Waist
Did someone say princess? This dropped and basque wasit trend is fulling leaning into the princess vibes for your wedding! We love this gorgeous detail on its own but if you feel like it may be a little too trendy, try adding a ribbon or sash to define your waistline and add a bit of a classic touch.
Exaggerated Floral Lace
We’re all about this flower power! We love floral lace just as much as the next person, but there’s something about these exaggerated floral motifs that we’ve been loving on just a little extra. These were all over NYBFW and we’re obsessed with this slight twist on a classic look!
All That Glitters
Have no fear maxamilist brides! Glitter, sparkle, shimmer and pearls are here to stay! We saw so many designers feature eye catching details that are sure to be crowd pleasers. From delicate beading to show stopping all over pearl looks, we cant wait for you to see all these fun gowns!
Sleeves
If there is anything we learned from the last few seasons – sleeves are here to stay! Keeping the sleeve trend strong but fresh, is extra long sleeves a la Hailey Bieber. This trend may be subtle but we love how casual and feminine it feels. Also a trend that highlights your mani and wedding ring? Um, yes please.
Peaked Necklines
Peaked, or as some like to call cat-eye (meow) necklines are making a statement this NYBFW! This neckline adds something a little elegant and yet still ‘cool-girl’ to any dress, turning something traditonal into more of a subtle statement! It also doesn’t hurt that it’s incredibly flattering!
