So we sat down with the designer: Yoav Rish, to learn more about the person behind the brand and what inspires him to create this one of a kind collection.

1. Where do you get your inspiration from?

It’s comes from life itself. I travel the world and see so many different styles, cultures, architecture, even the way food is plated can inspires me. As a dad, my young two girls also love dressing up as princess and I can also get inspired by them, what they love and the adorable princess dress I created for them.

2. How did you start designing wedding dresses?

Well.. years ago my sister got married, back than I was focused on celebrity dressing but she asked me to make her a special wedding dress that doesn’t look like a traditional wedding gown I did exactly that and fell in love with making dreams come true.

3. Who is the ‘Gabrielle’ bride? 

The Gabrielle bride is someone who appreciates fashion, sophistication and opulence. She is a strong woman who is proud to celebrate herself and is not afraid of standing out with her unique style.

4. Do you have a favourite piece you’ve designed? 

While creating the collection I go through a natural process of selecting favorites. Only the most beautiful designs actually get to be part of the collection and each and every one of the collection towns are truly my favorites! Selecting favorites is more relevant for the brides themselves, because when a bride falls in love with a specific gown, that she feels confident and beautiful in it immediately becomes her favorite gown.

5. What piece of advice would you give brides shopping for their dream dress? 

When shopping for your dream dress my first advice would be to start early this will eliminate stress and allow time for fittings, alterations, and any customizations.

Another helpful tool in Instagram! Like many global brands also we are on Instagram (@Rish_Bridal) (@gabrielletelier) and it’s a great place to seek inspiration and research styles that you might like. While it’s good to have a vision in mind, be sure to also be open to trying on different styles. You might be surprised by what looks flattering on you.

6. What do you love most about what you do?

There are so many things that I love about what I do!

The creative process of creating the collection and working with the over 50 boutiques, we are available at, around the world and getting to work with so many wonderful people from so many different places and cultures.

My most favorite thing is our brides – knowing that we are able to be with them on their big day and that we are part of what makes them feel confident and beautiful on their big day means the world to our entire Rish Bridal team.

For me personally, the most favourite thing is reading the endless thank you notes we get from our brides, each bride has her own beautiful story, and it’s so heartwarming to get so much love from so many brides from all over the world.
