Last week the S+B team took a bite out of the Big Apple at New York Bridal Fashion Week.

We returned to NYBFW aka Bridal Market – and boy, did it feel good! Bridal Market is our opportunity to shop ’til we drop – meeting designers from every corner as they showcase their latest collections. And while there is no shortage of amazing gowns coming to S+B, there were definitely a few top trends that stood out. Pearls

At the top of our list and still going strong – pearls. But these ain’t your mamas pearls; this classic bridal trend is always finding new ways of staying fresh and playful; like a smattering across the bodice or encrusted on a cheeky little bandeau.

Slits

Bring it to the runway – we mean aisle. It’s time to strut your very best post in a dramatic thigh hight slit – it’s classic bridal with an old Hollywood feel, and we are in love!

Bows

I like big bows and I cannot lie! For real though, we’ve always loved a bow at S+B; and the return of this dainty trend has us real excited! Whether it’s delicate or oversized – we are living for bows this season!

Cut-outs

While bridal silhouettes are making a return to the classic; the details are staying funky and fresh like these daring little cut-outs. So don’t be afraid to show a little skin!

Versatility

Who doesn’t love a 2-in-1 look?! Especially on your big day; why break by the bank by buying 2 looks, when you can choose a dress with a little versatility. Whether it’s a topper,  or removable sleeves – we love a dress that can pull double duty. PS all these looks below come with detachable or interchangeable sleeves! SO cool.

Retro Necklines

There’s no denying it – 2000’s fashion is in. And while low rise jeans can stay buried in the past; we are loving a little nostalgia in our necklines. Bring it on with the asymmetry, collars and high necks!
