Vanessa & Dillon’s wedding day!

Christmas is just one more sleep away! It is also the 1 year anniversary of Vanessa and Dillon’s engagement! As they say, it is proposal season and we know all the lovers out there who become engaged over the christmas season will have the happiest of holidays! So, we thought what better day to celebrate and share Vanessa and Dillon’s wedding day photos!

On September 5th, 2015 Vanessa and Dillon were married at Oakview Terrace in an intimate outdoor chapel. Vanessa and Dillon chose to take most of their photos before the ceremony and they shared the most wonderful emotional first look moment. Dillon’s breath was taken away with the sight of his beautiful bride, such a great moment and memory for them to share together forever! After portraits and bridal party photos we snuck away to wait for the ceremony time. The ceremony was filled with emotion, love and just pure magic. Once it was official we all went out to a beautiful sun filled garden for cocktails with the bride and groom. Later in the evening everyone shared a scrumptious meal, cut cake and danced the night away! I hope that everyones wedding day is filled with as much love and happiness as Vanessa and Dillon’s! Congratulations love birds!

Gown: Vanessa rocked the “Natalie” gown by Truvelle Bridal – A refined unique beauty of a dress! The lace bodice and soft almond skirt was the perfect touch of romance and whimsy.

Accessories: The bride and bridal party wore customized Hushed Commotion jewlery. We visited the Brooklyn based deisnger earlier this year and came up with the perfect accessories to fit the vision! All inspired by her work of course!

Bridesmaids: Dusty Blue skirts are by Alexandra Grecco, and the tops were made by yours truly!

Flowers: Our go-to fave of faves Opening Night Flowers created the florals for the wedding, and didn’t disappoint.

Photography: So many thank you’s for Jennifer Newberry Photography! The fine details and thoughtful things are what counts!

Amy & Pip’s beautiful orchard wedding!

It is always such a pleasure to see a Sash & Bustle brides wedding photos, thank you Katie Nicole for sharing! Amy and Pip wed in the summer and it looks like they had a magical wedding day! Amy is such a sweet person, it was a pleasure to help her find her wedding day look and to play a tiny part in her very special day.  The Saja gown that she fell in love with is so light and airy, pairing beautifully with a simple chapel veil by Veil Trends, and delicate headpiece by Untamed Petals. The beautifully beaded flutter sleeves, sheer neckline and elegant sway of her gown was a perfect option for her Kurtz Orchard nuptials. Amy looked simply radiant, comfortable and happy on her wedding day. Just how it should be!  Congratulations to Amy + Pip on your marriage!

Then and Now

We are all settled in at our new location and we are getting our grove. It feels like a life time ago that we first saw the space that would be Sash & Bustle’s new home! Its so fun for us to look back and see how things have transformed. It is the most rewarding feeling to realize a vision, and our new space is more than we could have ever imagined. Here is a glimpse in to the transformation of our beloved store…

The previous business who occupied 779 Queen Street East moved out in early 2015. Leaving a perfect space in a historic building vacant for us to happily discover. With silver ceilings, large displays and a massive fake tree in the middle of the space its safe to say that things have changed a lot!

First day of construction, and we can see all the way through the building…IMG_3710

We have change rooms!…IMG_3793    IMG_3909

A good coat of the prettiest white paint is helping the vision come to life…IMG_4090

Now all we need to do is move in!IMG_4424

The dresses made it safe and sound! And might I say, they look so marvelous hanging in the new space! We are so excited for what the future is going to bring for Sash & Bustle. We have heaps more photos of the new space , but i’ll save those for another post. Until then, if you pass by our store front or just love the dress in our window, holler at us! We would love to meet you!imagebyjulia_park_photo-0025imagebyjulia_park_photo-0046
