Sneak Preview: Carol Hannah Collection Arriving in September!

ch

Ok, we have been so excited about our announcement of a hot new collection arriving at the store this Fall! Many of you might recognize Carol Hannah, a designer from television’s Project Runway! Carol Hannah has always been one of my fave designers from the show, and when I learned that she had recently launched a bridal collection, I knew that we had to carry her new line at Sash & Bustle!

What began as a childhood hobby blossomed into a fairly secretive profession until Project Runway launched Carol Hannah into the public’s eye in 2009. Her self-taught skill of pattern making and draping combined with learning from watching her Mother sew enabled her to start her love affair with design.

Carol Hannah launched her bridal line in Spring 2010, which has been met with rave reviews from the press and real brides alike. Sash & Bustle is thrilled to be the first store in Canada to carry these ethereal gowns. Watch for their arrival in September, and a trunk show announcement coming soon! For now, here is a sneak preview of some of our favourites!

Bridal Style For A Steal: A Little White Dress

chloereese-mini

While switching up the mannequins in the shop today, and with the heatwave we are currently experiencing in Toronto, I thought how perfect a little white mini dress would be to beat that heat! Here is one of our lovely little numbers from Chloe & Reese, The Ardour Collection. I added a Persimmon Plaid sash from designer Lynn Lugo to add some edge and make it not so “precious”. And, this dress is great on the wedding budget too with the total look less than $550.00!

As Featured In: WedLuxe Magazine

We are thrilled to see one of our favourite gowns at Sash & Bustle featured in WedLuxe: Canada’s Luxury Wedding Magazine. The Stephanie James Couture “Josephine” gown was part of a gorgeous & whimsical fashion shoot with Heather Ogden, Principal Dancer with the National Ballet of Canada. This “Ballerina Bride” looked stunning in her lace gown that features numerous choices of underlays and optional ribbon colours for the hand-dyed bow stitched to the front of the gown.

Thank you so much to WedLuxe for the lovely feature, and if you don’t have your copy of the newest issue, we have just a few copies left at the shop, or they are available at Chapters/Indigo and Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto and many other locations across Canada.

Hurry, you don’t want to miss out on this gorgeous issue!
