Sunday Window Shopping: The Hilda by Kathlin Argiro

This is one of my favourite bridesmaid dresses in the whole shop! The “Hilda” by Kathlin Argiro is sophisticated, yet still sassy. And in this perfect shade of peacock blue silk, she would be perfect for a snowy Winter wedding. Flower and sash optional, but I think they also make the dress destination wedding worthy!

Opening Party Highlights!

Sash & Bustle was officially “launched” to the wedding community in Toronto last night, and we had a blast catching up with our fave wedding vendors, newly-engaged brides to be, wedding bloggers, and friends and family. Thanks so much to everyone that came out to see the shop! And, a big thanks to Jon Thorpe from Union Photography for taking these great images of the evening below. Thanks Jon!

NELLE Handbags

Look at the loveliness that arrives in the shop tomorrow courtesy of NELLE. Nelle is a fashion-forward handbag collection out of Minneapolis that makes us *swoon*. And, we had a sneak peak at Nelle’s 2010 Wedding Collection today and we can’t wait to show you what is coming soon! Amazing, handcrafted accessories and clutches, the Be Baubled Bag at the bottom is one of faves!nelle

Dahlia is Delightful!

Our Stephanie James Couture fans will love the newest addition to the Sash & Bustle collection. The “Dahlia” has arrived! She is oh so pretty – gorgeous silk taffeta with a pleated bodice trim and hemline. And for an edgier bride, we had the crinoline dyed black! Black and ivory weddings are so popular right now, and the Dahlia would fit right in! If the black crinoline doesn’t work for you, don’t worry, you can have a simple ivory crinoline, pale blue, or one of the other dozen or so colour options. The coloured crinolines are a super fun way to customize your dress!

Sash & Bustle Story Board: Sunshine Pastry

I am starting a new regular feature here in the Sash & Bustle blog – our own custom-designed storyboards using the nifty Style Me Pretty Style Circle tool. You must try it out – it is just fab!

“Sunshine Pastry”is all about a gorgeous, sunny breakfast wedding. We love the idea of serving fabulous coffees, french pastries and having a sunrise ceremony on some exotic bluff overlooking the ocean, or a misty field in the country. Can you smell the freshly brewed espresso?

Francie is Fancy

Love these images of real bride Lauren in her “Francie” gown by Coren Moore. Our own Francie sample gown arrives in the shop in just a few days – with a gorgeous Aqua sash! I think the real beauty of this gown is in it’s simplicity – just you in a gorgeous gown – without a lot of ruching, and beading and crinolines. Simple, elegance is what this dress is all about.
