As mentioned last month, we are gearing up for our first ever SAMPLE SALE!! We are looking forward to showcasing some stunning gowns that are no longer in our regular collection or that have been discontinued by the designer. Given that this is a sample sale, there is some important information you need to be aware of, so please review all the details below before contacting us to reserve your appointment!
What type of gowns are available in your sample sale?
We will be selling approximately 30 gowns from our collection that are no longer available from the designer, or that we have decided to discontinue from our collection. These are sample gowns, so that means that they are NOT in new condition. If you buy a sample gown, expect that there may be minor wear and tear, hem dust or other small imperfections that result from the gown being in a bridal boutique. We will provide info. on reputable dry cleaning options in Toronto.
What sizes are available?
Most of our gowns are stocked in a size 8, 10 or in some cases a 12. We find that many of our collections run very true to street size (so – if you take a size 10 in street clothes, you will likely take a size 10 in one of our gowns). The good news is that if you are a size 10, you will be able to fit into most samples in our sale.
Do you offer plus sizes?
While we can order up to size 28 for most of our regular collections, stock is limited for samples. If you are a size 14+, there will likely be very limited to nil options for sample gowns, and it likely won’t be worth your time to come in.
If you are smaller than a size 10, please know that for almost all our styles, our recommended seamstresses are your best friend! We advise that a dress can usually be altered down up to 3 sizes, so if a sample is a size 10, you can likely alter it down to a size 4/6 with some modifications.
What sort of savings are you offering?
All sample gowns will be sold at 40-50% off their regular list prices. 13% HST is applicable on top of all purchases, and alterations are not included.
Can I try on other gowns besides the samples on sale?
During the sample sale, you may only try on gowns marked as samples. To try on the rest of our collection, we encourage you to book another appointment on a different date.
What dates is the Sample Sale running?
The sample sale will begin with on Friday, March 22nd and continue on Saturday, March 23rd and Sunday, March 24th.
Okay, so how do we make an appointment?
To reserve a 60 minute time slot during the sale – you must email us at hello (at) sashandbustle.com and indicate your availability and preferred day and timing.
How does the appointment work?
Your appointment will last 60 minutes (no extensions), so you are encouraged to arrive on time. Sample sale appointments are different in that 2 brides will be in the store at any given time and you may be required to share a mirror. Due to VERY limited space, we do request that you limit your group to just 1 guest.
Upon arrival, you will be shown the sample collection, and you may bring in 2 dresses to a dressing room at a time. We will swap out styles as needed with the goal of having you try on 6-8 samples that you may be interested in at a maximum.
We ask that you please refrain from wearing makeup and you may be asked to use handwipes.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and cash. Cheques are accepted but the gown will be held in storage for you until the cheque clears. Sorry, we do not accept debit cards. ALL SALES ON SAMPLES ARE FINAL, SOLD AS IS, AND NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES ALLOWED.
